Precision Rifle Training

Our mission is to provide a comprehensive course covering the essential skills and techniques for effective long-range shooting. 

Overview

Whether you're a beginner or looking to sharpen your skills, this two-day course offers a comprehensive foundation in long-range precision shooting. You'll cover rifle and optic fundamentals, shooter/spotter communication, ballistic calculations, zeroing techniques, wind call refinement, building both stable and unconventional firing positions, and engaging targets at distances up to 1,275 yards. No experience necessary. ​​​​

What you need:

  • Precision rifle (.223, .308, 6.5, 300WM, or similar) with a bipod

  • Scope (MOA or MRAD)

  • 140 rounds of match-grade ammunition (same lot if possible)

  • Weather-appropriate clothing

  • Lunch, drinks, and snacks

  • Notebook and pen

  • Hearing protection

  • Sand sock/rear bag

  • Rental rifles available ($50 – first come, first serve)

  • Must be 18+ (or 16 with a legal guardian).

Kevin Owens served as a sniper in the Army Ranger Wing, Ireland’s tier-one SOF unit, from 1987 to 1992. He then immigrated to the United States where he served 24 years in the US Army including 18 years as a Green Beret. He attended the Special Forces Sniper Course (SFSC) in 2007, where he graduated as the top-shooting team. He was deployed as a sniper in a Special Forces CIF company during multiple combat deployments and served as a Special Forces Sniper instructor at SFSC from 2008 to 2011. Additionally, Kevin was the Non-Commissioned Officer in charge (NCOIC) of the Special Forces Sniper Course from 2010 to 2011. In 2011, he won the International Sniper Competition at Fort Benning, GA, and in 2021, he was honored with the NDIA Hathcock award for his significant contributions to the military sniper community. Between 2020 and 2025, Kevin planned and conducted multiple long-range shooting courses for civilians, law enforcement, and military personnel.​

Kirsten served over 12 years in law enforcement with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) and was a member of the CMPD SWAT Team. She is a certified North Carolina Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor and certified NC Concealed Carry Instructor and has trained recruits, police officers, tactical officers, and civilians for many years. Kirsten's mission is to pass on the knowledge she received through her years in policing to others who were not given the same opportunities.
